We are proud you have visited the Riceville Board of Directors page. With over 40 years of service to the Riceville community, the board of directors, elected by community members, is dedicated to ensuring that the department continually strives toward meeting our mission statement.

TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL FIRE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE RICEVILLE COMMUNITY AND SAFEGUARD THE QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGH TRAINING AND EDUCATION.

Leaving day to day operations to the dept chief and employees, the board of directors concentrates on long range activities such as: Strategic planning, Financial management, Employee benefits, etc. We also sponsor Community Day and a Christmas Party. It is our way to give back to the community the appreciation they deserve. The Community Day is a day filled with fun events, Great FREE food, Open House, Fire Truck Rides, and much more. Our Christmas party is top notch, including a visit from Santa himself. Here is more FREE festive goodies and gifts for every child.

What does this mean for the community?

We get together and just see how we're doing, how can we improve to be better stewards of your tax dollars, and ensure Firefighters/EMS show up well equipped to handle your emergency situation. Our meetings are always open to you, our fellow neighbors, and we welcome you to come out and join us. We meet every 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00pm. We are always looking for those who have suggestions or would like to serve.
